Alongside waitlist privacy notice

Alongside is run by BRAIN TRUST PRIVATE LIMITED, a Singapore company (UEN 202416698H) (“we”). We’re responsible for the personal data described here under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA) and, where it applies, the EU and UK GDPR.

What we collect. Your email address and, if you give them, your role and your firm’s size, and which link brought you to us. Like most websites, we also receive standard request information, such as IP address and browser type, and may measure visits in aggregate.

Why. To tell you about Alongside and ask about what you need from it, to protect the site from abuse, and to comply with the law. For EU and UK visitors, we rely on your consent for emails, and on our legitimate interests for the rest. We don’t sell your personal data.

Who we share it with. Service providers that help us run the site, such as hosting, database and email delivery providers. They may use it only to provide their services to us. We also disclose data where the law requires.

Where. Our providers may process data outside Singapore. When they do, we take steps to ensure comparable protection to the PDPA, and for EU or UK data we use a lawful transfer mechanism.

How long. For as long as we need it for these purposes, or until you ask us to remove it, unless the law requires us to keep it.

Your choices. Every email has an unsubscribe link. To access, correct or delete your data, or to withdraw consent, email privacy@legal.alongside.sh. You can also complain to Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Commission or your local data protection authority.

Changes. We may update this notice. We’ll post the new version here and update the date above.
